magine you’re on your way to work and suddenly your Check Engine Light pops on! Your first reaction may be an audible groan or an expletive…we know how you feel, no one wants to see a check engine light on their dash. The next thought is hoping that this won’t be a costly repair but you know have to get it checked out before it gets worse. To make matters worse, you only have one car and now you have to figure out how you’re going to manage if your vehicle has to be at the shop or dealership for a day or longer. Do you borrow a car? Ride the bus? Call an Uber? Rent a car? In most cases, one of these would happen, but when you come into Genuine Automotive & Diesel, the experience will be different, in a good way.

Genuine Automotive & Diesel was born on the value of convenience and part of that convenience are our loaner vehicles. We have over a dozen cars and trucks that we loan for free when we have approved work* of $200 or more on your vehicle. Due to the popularity of our loaners, we recommend planning out your service and making a reservation below. In case of emergency repairs, we will do our best to accommodate, however we do not guarantee the availability of a loaner without a reservation. (*mechanical/ electrical, excludes collision)

Loaner Policies:

  • Only the designated driver is allowed to operate the vehicle.
  • Driver must have full coverage insurance, must be presented at time of pick up.
  • Driver must be 21 years or older.
  • A refundable cleaning deposit of $100 must be provided.
  • No smoking or vaping in loaner. (Clear indicators of this will result in a cleaning fee and possible revocation of loaner privileges)
  • If transporting pet(s), please use a kennel or a blanket on the seat.
  • Please do not drive outside a 25-mile radius of the Capital. (Georgetown, Bastrop, Elgin, Lockhart, Dripping Springs are included)
  • Loaners must be returned within 24 hours of completed service notification. Each day after is $25 per day rental.
  • Please check all compartments for personal items before returning.
  • Any traffic infractions or accidents are the responsibility of the driver, please drive safely and respectfully.
  • You must replace the gas you use. If the fuel gauge is not Full at pick up, please note it with your service advisor as soon as possible. Loaners returned without replaced gas will incur a convenience fuel fee of $6.00 per gallon of fuel used.

Note About Our Loaner Vehicles

Our loaner cars are provided free of charge. We do ask as a courtesy to keep vehicles clean, smoke and pet hair free. Please replace the gas you use. Thank you!
