The Most Common Diesel Repairs
When you bring your vehicle in for repair, we’ll thoroughly check it to accurately diagnose the underlying cause of the mechanical symptoms you’re experiencing. In the meantime, we’re happy to share some of the most commonly made diesel repairs. For instance, regular service is very important, particularly if your diesel sits for an extended period of time. Aged, oxidized oil can damage your engine, and replacing it is one of the most often needed repairs. Also, drivers sometimes notice black smoke rolling from their exhausts. Usually, that’s a sign of a faulty fuel injector pump that needs exchanging. If a diesel engine is misfiring, the culprit could be bad glow plugs. These heat the fuel being delivered to the cylinders to make combustion easier. Exchanging these is another typical fix. Knocking can signal an improper compression ratio that needs correction, as can ailing bearings. Finally, batteries will eventually need replacing, as harder or failed starts indicate.
Uncommon Customer Care
While we make all the common mechanical repairs on diesels, we provide uncommon customer care. We’re happy to serve you during our regular business hours of Monday through Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. However, we offer options for before- and after-hours drop-off and pick-up if that time frame doesn’t work for you. Even better, we’ll pick up and drop off your vehicle with our free concierge service if you prefer. If you opt to come in, we have complimentary wifi for you to use, and we can help you out with a local courtesy shuttle or a loaner car. Financing options are available, as well. Best of all, your repair dollars are well spent and protected by a three-year/36,000-mile warranty that is valid nationwide through our TechNet affiliation.
